Can Ballona Wetlands slow, halt or reverse Climate Change?
According to Project Drawdown there are two effective Climate Change Solutions of "Coastal Wetlands Restoration" and "Coastal Wetlands Protection".
Restoring Ballona Wetlands' freshwater, as in the first 3/4ths of the 20th Century, to get more plant life to grow in the decade of 2020, to sequester Carbon Dioxide, in the peat within the soil, increasing the fungal biome, restoring bushes and trees in the Riperian Corridor, on the bluffs, and on the flat Wetlands, followed by protecting our Ecological Reserve, is our stakeholders' worthy goal.
