You'll meet proponents of Ballona Wetlands Ecological Reserves restoration to a predominantly Freshwater, Seasonal Wetland. We advocate for the return of indigenous people to Ballona, an abundance of wildlife, plant life, fungi, saving wetland soil, and vehemently oppose industrial scale bulldozing. Currently, there are five lawsuits objecting to the Final Enviroment Impact Report on Ballona which could take more than ten years or more in court. We are suggesting a lower cost alternative of Mediation.
