The mycorrhizae (fungi) underground that link different tree species together who then share sugars and water to help each other. Cultural Diversity. The Indigenous Peoples’ belief in RECIPROCITY and sharing rather than wanting to harvest every last bit and patent the seeds.

WATER LAWS effecting Ballona - Poland Report (Grandfather of all Ballona Hydrology - 1959) & House Documents 389 and 780 establish Marina del Rey.

Poland Report is a 288 page study completed in 1959 of the Hydrology of the LA Basin. It's an excellent example of a Hydrology Report.

As is seen below in the photos from 1952 and 1997 Ballona ponds during the rainy season when allowed to do so, even with the presence of the Army Corp/ LA County built - Ballona Channel.
Playa Vista developers have always argued that their mega-development was not on a wetland, which is countered by their own internal e-mails to Los Angeles Building & Safety Department - 6/8/99 Playa Vista email to LADBS.
